We’ve always been lacking in having an actual gallery on this site so we just added a new gallery page to our “About Us” home page. We’ll be using smug mug to keep you all up to date with photo sets from our sessions and adventures. Currently we’ve uploaded 300+ photos in 16 separate galleries. Most of the photos have been seen in our blog over the last year or so but now their sorted and easier to browse through. Enjoy!

We’ve been trimming the fat around our website to give users a simpler and more enjoyable experience. The main thing we wanted to achieve was the separation of our Team and Company blog entries. You’ll find it way easier to check out out what’s going on with our team riders and our crew in general by checking out the Team Blog. For the Company Blog it will stay primarily the same but were limiting the entries of the overall skim scene and focusing more on our brand and happenings of Akwa Industries.

For those of you who came here for our randomness blog we apologize for deleting it but its a lot of work to keep it updated. It was a good run of pure spray but it had to go!

You may see the website get trimmed a bit more but if there is any drastic changes then we’ll keep you in the loop right here.

The latest issue of Foreverskim is out and on page 60-61 is a shot of Bryce Rudland from the Sunshine Coast riding a 2009 Akwa Industries prototype. This shot was taken by Bryce Casselman at our local spot Whitaker Beach.

This is a pretty big deal for Canadian Skimboarding and to us locally. Our waves and riders are rarely published so this little breakthrough is stoking up all of us on the Coast to get out and document what were doing here.
